Why Jesus is better than Santa Clause
Even though the Christmas season is in full swing, I don't feel the stress that I would usually have in previous years, because I have changed my focus from giving, to receiving the Greatest Gift that was given to all of us, Jesus. The message today is an awesome one, that I thought really needed to be posted. Please take a few minutes and enjoy this message that shows the True Christmas season.

WHY JESUS IS BETTER THAN SANTA CLAUSE
Santa lives at the North Pole...
Jesus is everywhere.
Santa rides in a sleigh...
Jesus rides on the wind and walks on the water.
Santa comes but once a year...
Jesus is an ever-present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies...
Jesus supplies all your needs.
Santa comes down your chimney uninvited...
Jesus stands at your door and knocks, and then enters your heart when invited.
You have to wait in line to see Santa...
Jesus is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap...
Jesus lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, what's your name?"...
Jesus knew our name before we were born...
Not only does He know our name,
He knows our address too.
He knows our history and future andHe even knows how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly...
Jesus has a heart full of love
Santa says, "You better not cry"...
Jesus says, "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you."
Santa's little helpers make toys...
Jesus makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes, and builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but...
Jesus gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree...
Jesus became our gift and died on a tree...

Be Still
With all the hustle of this holiday season, I need to learn to just be still. Can you think of a time that you can just Be Still today? I know I can't, so that tells me that I need to stop, and take out something that doesn't take too much of my energy and time. I need to spend time with the Lord, and just Be Still. I pray that this message touches you, and you can carve some time out for the Lord, each day!!

Be Still
Sometimes I ask the question,
"My Lord, is this your will?"
It's then I hear you answer me,
"My Precious Child... be still."
Sometimes I feel frustrated,
Cause I think I know what's best.
It's then I hear you say to me,
"My Busy Child... just rest"
"I know the plans I have for you,
The wondrous things you'll see;
If you can just be patient, Child,
And put your trust in me.
I've plans to draw you closer.
I've plans to help you grow.
There's much I do you cannot see
And much you do not know.
But know this, Child ..... I LOVE YOU.
You are Precious unto Me.
Before I formed you in the womb,
I planned your destiny.
I've something very special
I hope for you to learn.
The gifts I wish to give to you
Are gifts you cannot earn.
They come without a price tag,
But not without a cost;
At Calvary, I gave Myself,
So You would not be lost.
Rest, Child, and do not weary
Of doing what is good.
I promise I'll come back for you
Just like I said I would.
Your name is written on my palm,
I never could forget;
Therefore, do not be discouraged when
My answer is... "Not Yet"

Beatitudes For Parents
Praying that your Christmas season has not been overshadowed by what has to be done, this is the message that has come to me so clearly the past few days. I know this is a quick moving time of year, but we need to slow down and appreciate what we have, not what we want. Tonight we spent a quiet (as quiet as 4 males in one house can be) together, and we had a great time. I appreciate these times, to spend with my husband and my children, because now a days they are so far and few between. I received the message today from an email, and I thought it was perfect, and I had to share it with everyone. Please enjoy!!!
Beatitudes For Parents
Blessed are those parents who make their peace with spilled milk and
mud, for of such is the kingdom of childhood.
Blessed is the parent who engages not in the comparison of his child
with others, for precious unto each is the rhythm of his own growth.
Blessed are the fathers and mothers who have learned laughter, for it is
the music of the child's world.
Blessed and wise are those parents who understand the goodness of time,
for they make it not a sword that kills growth but a shield to protect.
Blessed and mature are they who without anger can say "no," for
comforting to the child is the security of firm decisions.
Blessed is the gift of consistency, for it is heart's-ease in childhood.
Blessed are they who accept the awkwardness of growth, for they are
aware of the choice between marred furnishings and damaged
personalities.
Blessed are the teachable, for knowledge brings understanding, and
understanding brings love.
Blessed are the men and women who in the midst of the unpromising
mundane, give love, for they bestow the greatest of all gifts to each
other, to their children, and -- in an ever-widening circle -- to their
fellow men.
Blessed are those who read these words...but more blessed will be they
who follow them!

A Christmas Prayer
I know this time of year, it is very hectic, but I pray that you take a few moments and read this prayer. May your Christmas season be blessed
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
A CHRISTMAS PRAYER
Most Holy & Majestic Father,
There's so much "hype" around Christmas time. I have to admit that I enjoy all the jolly jingle and festive frolic as much as anyone. But, Lord, as I enter into the fast-paced season ahead, help me walk slowly and quietly.
Let me stop and listen to the angels sing of the greatest news ever told!
Let my heart, mind and soul join the chorus. "Glory in the Highest!! The Messiah has been born!"
Among all the bright sparkling lights and cheery holiday tunes, let my spirit travel once again toward Bethlehem to honor and worship Jesus, my King! The Prince of Peace, the Lord of Hosts, Mighty Counselor, Son of God, the Lamb. All Your love, mercy and power somehow made flesh in the tiny form of a humble baby born in a manger. Let me worship the only one who is worthy to take our sin away and open the gates of all eternity!
Amen
